Since bamboo is a sustainable crop that grows very quickly, you're frame isn't contributing to deforestation of our planet like other wood frames. Plus, this frame only uses water based stain so you never have to worry about the use of harsh chemicals or oils being used to make your frame. And when it comes to packaging, even the packaging material is made with either recyclable or biodegradable packaging material so it won't add to landfill waste.

In addition to its earthy friendly features, this black bamboo frame has a narrow 11/16" wide molding that steps down away from the opening of your frame. This design makes it look like your frame has its own frame surrounding it. On each of the edges, you can see the brown of the bamboo coming through giving it a stylish slight distressed look. The depth of the frame is 17/32" and the rabbet (the depth of the space where the picture goes) is 5/32".
